Your tour begins with a late evening pick-up from your hotel in Sharm El Sheikh at approximately 23:00. You will travel for around two hours by air-conditioned vehicle to Moses Mountain. As temperatures can drop during the night, it is recommended to bring warm clothing and any snacks or drinks you may wish to carry in your backpack.
During the journey, your guide will provide information about the history and significance of the area and answer any questions you may have. Upon arrival at the base of Mount Sinai, you will meet a local Bedouin guide, who will accompany you during the climb, as guides are permitted to escort visitors to the summit.
You will then begin the overnight ascent of Mount Sinai, which reaches an elevation of 2,285 meters. The climb includes approximately 750 steps and takes several hours, with multiple rest stops along the way where you can relax, enjoy tea, and take in the peaceful desert atmosphere. For those who may find the climb challenging, camel assistance is available for part of the journey at an additional cost.
Upon reaching the summit, you will witness one of the most spectacular sunrises in Egypt.
