Itinerary

Day 1

Valley-of-Kings-&-Hatshepsut-Temple–Luxor-West-Bank

After picking you up from your hotel in Luxor, we will take a pleasant drive through Luxor West Bank, the area containing some of the most astounding archaeological sites in the history of Egypt.

Our first stop will be at the famous Valley of the Kings, the royal burial ground of the pharaohs of the New Kingdom, to visit three well decorated tombs. Here we will be informed about the burial customs, religion and the life of pharaohs in Ancient Egypt and maybe take a look inside Tutankhamun's tomb if it's open on the day with an extra ticket.

Our journey continues to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, this is perhaps the most striking of Egypt's monuments, and an engineering wonder of Ancient Egypt. Learn about the life of this impressive female pharaoh, the most successful in the history of Egypt and see the amazing structure, the ramps, colonnades and detailed carvings of the Queen.

Then, we will move to see the two impressive Colossi of Memnon (statues of Amenhotep III), they are two gigantic stone statues that have been standing guard over the Theban Necropolis for over 3000 years.

At the end, we will visit a local bakery as well as an alabaster factory to watch how local handicraft is made and local life is led in Luxor.
After you've absorbed all the wonders of the Pharaonic world, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
