Itinerary

1

Welcome to Egypt! Your tour manager will be waiting for you at Cairo International Airport to help with the arrival process and introduce you to your driver. From there, you’ll head straight to your hotel in a private, air-conditioned vehicle.

That drive towards Cairo can be your Egypt Solar Eclipse Tour 2027 moment really happening, full of buzzing cafes, busy streets, and traffic going both ways!

If this is your first time in Egypt, Cairo may feel a little overwhelming at first. That’s normal. My advice for today is simple: don’t try to start sightseeing the minute you arrive. You’ve probably just come off a long international flight, and there’s no benefit in forcing yourself through an attraction while you’re tired and jet-lagged.

Check in, unpack, have something to eat, take a shower, and get some sleep. Egypt will still be there in the morning.

This morning is what many people picture after they book a total solar eclipse in Egypt. After breakfast, go to the Giza Plateau and start at the Giza Pyramids. Walk by the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Pyramid of Chephren, and the Pyramid of Mykerinus. You will have time to move around, stop for pictures, and look out over the area. Next, visit the Great Sphinx. You get a nearer view of this well-known Egyptian landmark.

If you want something more, you can choose a camel or horseback ride around Giza. Talk about the price first, before you begin.

After lunch, you travel to the Grand Egyptian Museum. There you spend time with ancient Egyptian pieces. You see statues, jewelry, treasures, and other artifacts. This includes items linked to King Tutankhamun. After you finish your Cairo sightseeing, go back to your hotel. Take time to rest. You will travel south tomorrow.

After you leave Cairo, the trip feels different. You fly south to Aswan, right by the Nile. Have breakfast first. Then go to the airport for your flight.

Start your Aswan tours with the Aswan High Dam. It is a key part of recent Egyptian history. The dam helped manage the Nile. It also led to the creation of Lake Nasser.

After that, you cross the Nile by motorboat to Philae Temple. Many people call it one of the loveliest ancient places in Aswan. It is linked to the goddess Isis. You see it from the water, with granite rocks nearby. The views over the Nile are also stunning.

Later, you take a traditional felucca ride near Kitchener’s Island. Just sit back and enjoy the river. You can look toward the botanical gardens and the nearby islands. The whole area feels quiet and calm.

Then you return to your accommodation. You have the rest of the evening free in Aswan.

Today is a road day, but it’s one of the road days that actually adds something to the trip. Leave Aswan after breakfast and travel north through Upper Egypt toward Luxor. Then, almost without warning, the green ends and the desert begins. Kom Ombo is unusual because it was dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. The temple is almost mirrored in its design, with spaces associated with each deity.

Your next stop, the Temple of Horus, is one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt. Its huge entrance makes an immediate impression, but the interior is where you should take your time. Walk through the courtyards and columned halls and look at the reliefs still covering the walls. One thing I wouldn’t do today is add extra stops just because they’re nearby. You already have a long journey and two substantial temple visits. If you still have energy, go for a quiet walk or have dinner somewhere overlooking the Nile.

5

Start your morning with a balloon trip over Luxor if you like getting up early. From the air you will see the sunrise over the Nile. You will also spot green fields, small villages, and stretches of desert. It is a calm way to take in the city.

Once you have breakfast, head to the West Bank for your tour. Begin at the Valley of the Kings. There you can view the old tombs of New Kingdom rulers. You will see places tied to Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. Walk through the rooms and look closely at the paintings and the carved hieroglyphs.

Then go to Deir el-Bahari and visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The temple sits under steep cliffs. Its terraces and ramps make it feel open and grand.

After that, stop at the Colossi of Memnon. These are two huge statues from an earlier temple site. Spend some time there before moving on.

Next, explore Karnak Temple. It is one of the key sites in Luxor. Walk around the courtyards and then enter the Great Hypostyle Hall.

When the sightseeing ends, return to your hotel. Plan a quiet evening to rest before the solar eclipse tomorrow in Luxor.

Today is the best part of your Egypt trip. After breakfast, you will go to Luxor Temple. It sits in the middle of the modern town. Spend a while looking at the old columns and the statues. Notice the stone design and the grand style. Then you will head to the place you planned for the eclipse viewing.

The Solar Eclipse Tour Egypt is the key activity today. Go earlier than planned. Confirm your spot ahead of time. Also bring water. Wear or use approved eclipse glasses. Check your camera gear before the eclipse starts.

When totality comes, set your camera aside for a bit. Take in what is happening. The Moon will move in front of the Sun. Daylight will change, and the view over Luxor will be hard to forget.

After the eclipse, go back to Luxor. Then you will transfer to the airport. From there, fly to Hurghada.

Take it easy today in Hurghada. After all the sightseeing and the eclipse, it feels good to slow down. Sleep in, eat a relaxed breakfast, then pick the beach or the pool.

Go for a swim in the Red Sea if you want. Sit in the sun. Or just keep it simple and enjoy a calm morning. If you feel more energetic, try snorkeling. You can see bright coral and lots of sea life. There are also diving trips, boat rides, and visits to nearby islands.

You do not have to pack your day with plans. Pick one thing that sounds nice, or do nothing but rest. Let the quiet coast of the Red Sea set the pace.

Meals: Soft all-inclusive

8

Take it easy in Hurghada today. There is no need to rush. Walk when you feel like it. Stop if you get tired. Eat breakfast at your own speed. When you finish, head for the beach.

If snorkeling worked out yesterday, try it again. You might spot more coral areas and other sea life. You can also pick scuba diving if you want. Or you can skip it all and choose a boat trip instead. If you want it calmer, stay on the water and look along the coastline.

You do not need a strict plan for the day. Keep it simple and stay close to the hotel. Spend some time on the sand. Then lie down and rest so your body can settle. After busy days, this kind of quiet time can help you feel better. Enjoy Hurghada your way.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Eat breakfast, then check out. Head to Hurghada International Airport for your trip back to Cairo. When you arrive, someone from the service will be there and help you get to your hotel.

Your day is open, so you do not have to book more tours. This is your last night in Egypt. Have a calm dinner. Grab any small items you still want. You can also take a final walk in Cairo. Or you can just stay in and rest.

Over the past 10 days, you toured the Giza Pyramids, old temples, royal tombs, the Nile, and the Red Sea. You saw a lot of Egypt’s best-known sights.

Use the evening to take it easy. Spend your final hours as you like. Think back on what you did and what you saw.

Have breakfast, then check out. After that, head to Cairo International Airport for your flight home. You do not have to fit in any more sightseeing today.

In the last ten days, you saw many parts of Egypt. You went to the Giza Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo. You also enjoyed calm views of the Nile in Aswan.

You visited old temples and royal tombs in Luxor. You were also there for the total solar eclipse in Egypt in 2027.

After the eclipse, Hurghada gave you a slower pace. You spent some time by the Red Sea and just relaxed.

Now it is time to return home. Take the memories with you. Think of the ancient temples, the Nile, the desert, the Red Sea, and the eclipse you will not forget.
